To sign up, visit DEC's homepage (www.dec.ny.gov), enter your email address in the "Receive Email Updates and News from NYSDEC" box in the right-center of the page, and click "Submit". After clicking Submit, you will see a list of all of DEC's email lists. Great Lakes is under the "Natural Areas and Wildlife" heading and "Lakes and Rivers" sub-heading. Altogether, there are more than 130 lists covering many DEC program areas, so there may be others that interest you as well.
